abstract The invention relates to a cobalt monoxide-copper nanowire composite electrode material with a shell-core structure and a preparation method thereof, and the composite electrode material with the shell-core structure, which is about 100nm in diameter of an inner core, 20-400 nm in thickness of a cobalt monoxide coating layer and 10-50 mu m in length, is dark gray in color and can be used as an electrode material of a glucose sensor. The catalytic performance of the cobalt monoxide is strong, but the sensitivity of the cobalt monoxide is reduced due to the weakened conducting capacity; the copper has good conductivity, and the problem can be properly solved by combining the copper nanowire and the oxidation state cobalt to form the composite material. Meanwhile, the cobalt oxide coating layer can protect copper and effectively avoid the oxidation of the copper nanowire. The method has the advantages of simple and easy manufacture, controllability, low preparation temperature and low cost, and is suitable for industrial production; the prepared material can be effectively used for glucose sensing.
