abstract The invention provides a preparation method of high melt viscosity polyethylene 2,5-furandicarboxylate, comprising: mixing and banburying polyethylene 2,5-furandicarboxylate and multifunctional monomers, co- mixed reaction to obtain high melt viscosity polyethylene glycol 2,5-furandicarboxylate; the multifunctional monomers include alcohols, esters, alkanes, carboxylic acids and acid anhydrides. In the present invention, multifunctional monomers such as alcohols, esters, alkanes, carboxylic acids and acid anhydrides are blended with polyethylene glycol 2,5-furandicarboxylate to obtain high-viscosity melt viscosity poly-2, 5-ethylene glycol furandicarboxylate, the modification method of the present invention can significantly change the rheological behavior of the PEF melt, improve the melt strength, and improve its spinning, foaming and film-forming properties.
