abstract | The invention discloses a preparation method of phthalide. The method takes ortho-xylene as a substrate, and under the action of transition metal and a solid acid catalyst, the ortho-xylene is catalyzed and oxidized into phthalide with high selectivity. The method selects proper solid acid for catalysis, so that o-xylene can obtain o-hydroxymethylbenzoic acid in the oxidation process, and then the closed-loop product phthalide can be directly obtained under the action of acid catalysis. Compared with the traditional method for preparing phthalic anhydride by oxidizing o-xylene and preparing phthalide by hydrogenating phthalic anhydride, the method has the advantages of simple steps, high product yield, low material consumption and energy consumption. |
