Systems and methods for processing biological fluids are disclosed. Some of the disclosed embodiments can be used to filter cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from human or animal subjects, heat CSF to a target temperature, cool CSF to a target temperature, apply light to CSF, utilize the dielectric properties of cells to Cells are isolated, spiral and/or centrifugation is performed, additives are introduced into target particles, and/or combinations thereof are performed. The method may include the steps of withdrawing a fluid containing cerebrospinal fluid, treating the fluid, and returning a portion of the treated fluid to the subject. During operation of the system, various parameters, such as flow rate, can be modified. |
