titleOfInvention | Magnetic field regenerator |
abstract | An exemplary particle accelerator includes the following components: a voltage supply to provide a Radio Frequency (RF) voltage to a cavity to accelerate particles from a plasma column, the cavity having a magnetic field to cause particles accelerated from the plasma column to orbitally move within the cavity; an extraction channel receiving particles accelerated from the plasma column and outputting the received particles from the cavity; and a regenerator providing a magnetic field protrusion within the cavity, thereby changing a continuous trajectory of particles accelerated from the plasma column such that, eventually, the particles are output to the extraction channel. The magnetic field is at least 6 tesla and the magnetic field protrusion is at most 2 tesla. |
