titleOfInvention System, method and apparatus for reducing band dispersion in chromatography
abstract By excluding the diffusive portion of the sample from introduction to the column, the reduced column loading of the sample on the chromatography column can be mitigated. The present invention discloses systems and methods for detecting and removing the diffusive moiety from a feed solution delivered to the chromatography column. The systems and methods described herein allow the use of a single detector to detect and remove the diffusive portion, and can accommodate a recovery/collection/recycling mechanism, thereby allowing the removed sample to be reused from the diverted diffusive portion.
