titleOfInvention | Petunia ASRs genome and application thereof |
abstract | The application belongs to the technical field of biological breeding of petunia, and particularly relates to a petunia ASRs genome and a patent application of the petunia ASRs genome. The genome comprises three genes of ASR1, ASR2 and ASR3, wherein the 3 genes code transcription factors of R2R3-MYB type and are respectively related to anthocyanin synthesis regulation; namely, the synthesis of delphinidin is regulated and controlled. The construction of evolutionary trees with transcription factors of the R2R3-MYB type, which are involved in other anthocyanin syntheses already found in plants, shows that these three genes are located on the same evolutionary branch as the AN2, DPL, AN4, PHZ alleles. The transgenic overexpression result shows that the ASR1/2/3 specifically regulates the relevant channel of delphinium pigment synthesis. The method preliminarily combs the molecular foundation of blue/purple petal regulation and control in petunia, and lays a foundation for creating new varieties of blue/purple related flowers and the like by using the three genes in the future. |
