abstract The invention relates to the field of plant genetic engineering, and provides a soybean pod borer LgPGRP-LB gene, the base sequence of which is shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. In vitro synthesizing dsRNA of the soybean pod borer LgPGRP-LB gene, introducing the dsRNA of the soybean pod borer LgPGRP-LB gene into a larva body of a first-instar soybean pod borer by using a feeding method, and the results prove that: the dsRNA fed with the LgPGRP-LB can cause the LgPGRP-LB gene in the soybean pod borer larva to be silenced, thereby influencing the growth and development of the soybean pod borer larva, and even leading the soybean pod borer larva to pupate about ten months ahead of time. The gene can be used as a target gene for constructing an RNAi expression vector and used for cultivating soybean germplasm with high resistance to soybean pod borers.
