abstract The application provides an information transmission method and equipment. The method comprises the following steps: the terminal obtains a target precoding matrix based on reference signals sent by the access network equipment through the multiple antenna port groups; the terminal determines target indication information corresponding to the target precoding matrix according to a codebook, wherein the codebook comprises a corresponding relation between the precoding matrix and the indication information, the precoding matrix is a product of a first matrix and a second matrix, the first matrix is used for selecting a first antenna port group from the multiple antenna port groups or is used for representing difference parameters among the multiple antenna port groups, and the second matrix comprises sub-precoding matrices corresponding to part or all antenna port groups of the multiple antenna port groups; and the terminal sends the target indication information to the access network equipment. The method can correct the directivity of a plurality of wave beams, avoid generating excessive side lobes, improve the wave beam forming gain and further increase the capacity of the antenna.
