abstract | The invention discloses a method for preparing 1, 1' -binaphthyl by using metal samarium to promote a 1-halonaphthalene coupling reaction under the catalysis of cupric salt in ionic liquid. Stirring 1-bromonaphthalene in ionic liquid [ bmim][BF 4 ](butylmethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate) and then adding metal samarium powder and anhydrous copper chloride powder in sequence. The reaction system is carried out under anhydrous conditions. Stirring at room temperature until the reaction is complete. The resulting reaction mixture was subjected to ionic liquid recovery. Separating the crude product by column chromatography to obtain 1, 1' -binaphthyl, and recrystallizing to obtain pure product with yield of 70-98%. |
