The purpose of the present invention is to provide a binder composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode, which can form a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode having excellent peel strength and which can exhibit excellent cycle characteristics in a nonaqueous secondary battery. The adhesive composition of the first aspect of the present invention includes a particulate polymer a1, in which the particulate polymer a1 contains an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer unit in a proportion of 70 to 99 mass% and a carboxylic acid group-containing monomer unit in a proportion of 1 to 30 mass%. The adhesive composition of the second aspect of the present invention includes a particulate polymer a2, the particulate polymer a2 containing an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer unit in a proportion of 70 to 95 mass% and a (meth) acrylate monomer unit in a proportion of 1 to 30 mass%, and the electrolyte swelling degree is 1.2 to 7.0 times. |
