abstract | The present disclosure relates generally to the field of immunology-based diagnostic assays, including assays that detect cell-mediated immune responses. The present invention teaches the diagnosis of antigen exposure in a subject based on a cell-mediated immune response with enhanced sensitivity. Lymphocytes from the subject are contacted with at least a first set and a second set of peptides, the first set comprising at least one peptide of 7-14 amino acid residues in length and the second set comprising at least one peptide of 16 or more amino acid residues based peptides to detect the presence or elevation of immune molecules. The assay contemplated here can be integrated into standard pathology frameworks to provide a diagnostic reporting system and facilitate clinical care management. |
