abstract | An ink jet recording method is provided in which a reaction liquid for a recording medium, which is a non-absorbent recording medium or a low-absorbent recording medium, is used to improve image quality. An inkjet recording method of an aspect of the present invention includes: a reaction liquid adhesion step of discharging a reaction liquid as droplets from an inkjet head and adhering the droplets to a recording medium, the reaction liquid containing a flocculant for aggregating the ink composition, the recording medium being a non-absorptive recording medium or a low-absorptive recording medium; a reaction liquid drying step of drying the reaction liquid adhering to the recording medium; and an ink composition adhering step of discharging the ink composition as droplets from an ink jet head and adhering the ink composition to a recording medium to which a reaction liquid has adhered, wherein in the reaction liquid drying step, the reaction liquid is dried so that an evaporation rate of water contained in the reaction liquid when the ink composition is adhered is 70 mass% or more and an evaporation rate of an organic solvent is 60 mass% or less. |
