We offer: Separators for alkaline batteries with low resistance and excellent strength and shielding properties in the electrolyte. It is set as follows: it is a separator for an alkaline battery for isolating a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode active material and retaining an electrolyte, and the separator includes: a base material layer formed only of alkali-resistant fibers; and , the alkali-resistant resin layer containing alkali-resistant resin 0.1-25g/m 2 , the alkali-resistant fiber of the base layer contains alkali-resistant cellulose fiber 10-100% by mass. |
