titleOfInvention Light emitting part, print head, and image forming apparatus
abstract Provided is a light emitting element and the like capable of reducing power consumption in an on state of a thyristor as compared with when a voltage reduction layer is not used. A light emitting chip (C) is provided with: a plurality of transfer thyristors (T) which are sequentially brought into a conducting state; a plurality of setting thyristors (S) that are connected to the plurality of transfer thyristors (T), respectively, and that are brought into a state that can be shifted to a conductive state as a result of the transfer thyristors (T) being brought into a conductive state; and a plurality of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) respectively connected in series to the plurality of setting thyristors (S) and emitting light when the setting thyristors (S) become on state, and the setting thyristors (S) are formed to include a voltage reduction layer (90) that reduces the rising voltage.
