The present invention provides a catalyst that has good denitrification efficiency at relatively low temperature and is not accompanied by oxidation of SO2 in the selective catalytic reduction reaction using ammonia as a reducing agent. The denitration catalyst is a denitration catalyst in which vanadium oxide is present in an amount of 3.3% by weight or more in terms of vanadium pentoxide, and has a BET specific surface area of 10 m 2 /g or more. |
