abstract The present application relates to the use of hydroxyiminoalkanoic acids containing at least four carbon atoms as anti-nitrosating agents in operations for the reductive stripping of plutonium. The present application is applicable to any spent fuel reprocessing method involving the reductive stripping operation of one or more plutoniums, and, more particularly, to the PUREX process implemented in modern nuclear fuel reprocessing devices, and to processes derived therefrom.
