abstract The present invention provides an apparatus, system, and method for managing radio frequency (RF) and ultrasonic signals output by a generator, the system including a surgical instrument including an RF energy output, an ultrasonic energy output, and circuitry , the circuit is configured to receive the combined RF and ultrasonic signals from the generator. The circuit may be configured to isolate direct current (DC) voltages from combined RF and ultrasound signals. This DC voltage can then be used to power various electrical components of the surgical instrument while still providing RF energy and ultrasonic energy for surgical applications.
