abstract |
A device for treating tissue includes a tube extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a channel extending therethrough, the tube being releasably coupled to a proximal portion of the device, and proximal ends of clamp arms being slidably received in the channel of the tube such that the clamp arms are movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. A core member is connected to the clip arms, the core member including proximal and distal portions releasably connected to one another such that the proximal and distal portions are separated from one another when the core member is subjected to a predetermined load. The conductive control member is connected to the core member, and the proximal end of the connecting member is connected to a power source that delivers current to the clip arms. |
