abstract The invention discloses a chiral resolution method for 3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindene-6,6'-diol derivatives shown in formula I . The resolution method uses chiral naproxen acid chloride as a chiral resolution reagent, and is realized through esterification, recrystallization and hydrolysis. The invention has mild reaction conditions, simple process and convenient operation, and the obtained chiral dihalogentetramethylspiroindane diol is a key intermediate for preparing chiral spiro ring ligands.
