abstract The invention provides a virus quality control product of a hepatitis C virus gene detection kit which can be stably stored, comprising a positive quality control product and a negative quality control product; solutes of the positive quality control product comprise inactivated HCV virus and a preservative; the solute of the negative quality control product comprises inactivated non-HCV virus and a preservative, or comprises a preservative; the preservative comprises aurintricarboxylic acid ammonium salt, preservative and phenylbutazone hydrochloride. According to the invention, the preservative containing aurin-trimethyl ammonium salt, preservative and bestatin hydrochloride is added into the quality control product, and the concentrations of the aurin-trimethyl ammonium salt, the preservative and the bestatin hydrochloride in the quality control product after the addition are respectively controlled to be 500 mu M, 80-180mM and 20-60nM, so that the degradation of the virus particles of the quality control product is inhibited, the virus particles are more stable and easier to preserve, and the effective period is prolonged.
