The epoxy modified monocarbodiimide compound prepared by the invention has high purity, the melting point is 70-120 ℃, and the epoxy modified monocarbodiimide compound is not only an excellent anti-hydrolysis stabilizer but also an excellent chain extender, effectively prevents polyester materials from hydrolysis, repairs polyester material chain segments, improves the stability of the polyester materials in the processing process, solves the problems of volatilization and odor generation of the carbodiimide in the processing process, and also thoroughly avoids the potential hazard of migration. The preparation method of the epoxy modified monocarbodiimide compound comprises the following steps: (1) carrying out bromination reaction; (2) substitution reaction; (3) and (4) epoxy modification.
