abstract |
The present invention provides a three-dimensional (3D), porous, biodegradable and biocompatible tissue engineering scaffold, wherein at least 25% w/w of the scaffold is particulate eggshell membrane (ESM) substantially homogeneously distributed therein and the scaffold is substantially dry. Also provided are methods of making the same by freeze-drying and cryoablation, and uses thereof in methods of tissue engineering and to promote wound healing. |
