The present invention relates to a dental composition comprising an initiator system comprising a sensitizer compound having an acylsilyl or acylgermanyl group and a specific co-initiator compound. The invention also relates to an initiator system consisting essentially of a sensitizer compound having an acylsilyl or acylgermanyl group and a coinitiator compound in which the C-H bond dissociation energy is less than 95 kcal/mol. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of this initiator system for the preparation of dental compositions. |
