A method and system are provided for analyzing electrocardiogram (ECG) data to identify whether it would be beneficial for a caregiver to apply an electrical shock to the heart in an effort to return the heart to a normal pattern and resume a sustained strong beating. Rapid (e.g., in less than 6 seconds, in less than 3 seconds, possibly Shockable rhythms are identified in less than 1 second) and without having to analyze the ECG data over a longer time period than would otherwise be required using conventional methods. |
