abstract The present invention provides a ryegrass transcription factor gene LpNACL that inhibits leaf senescence and its application. The nucleotide sequence of the gene LpNACL in the present invention is shown in SEQ ID NO.1, or has the sequence shown in SEQ ID NO.1 The complementary nucleotide sequence, or has more than 75% homology with the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO.1, and can also encode a DNA molecule involved in the regulation of plant senescence, especially the protein that inhibits leaf senescence. The gene LpNACL can participate in the senescence regulation process, inhibit leaf senescence, thereby improve plant quality, and can be used to breed anti-aging, especially anti-leaf senescence transgenic plants.
