titleOfInvention Device and method for nucleic acid extraction
abstract Device and method for nucleic acid extraction, comprising a hollow body through which a liquid is guided, preferably a pipette tip, characterized in that a material with a rough or structured surface is arranged in the hollow body so that the material can be washed by the liquid. After the sample has been lysed and the binding conditions required for the adsorption of the nucleic acids to the carrier material have been adjusted, the ingredients are "piped" multiple times through the nucleic acid binding material arranged vertically in the pipette tip by means of a pipetting process. Nucleic acid is bound to the material. Next, wash buffer is also "piped through" the nucleic acid binding material. A drying step follows. Finally, the eluent is "piped over" the vertically positioned nucleic acid binding material multiple times, at which point the bound nucleic acid is stripped. The nucleic acid is now ready for the desired downstream application.
