The present invention provides systems, devices and methods for detecting the presence of fetal cells in a sample and testing for fetal abnormalities such as aneuploidy when the fetal cells are mixed with a population of maternal cells. The invention comprises labeling regions of genomic DNA in each cell in said mixed sample with different markers, wherein each marker is specific for each cell, and quantifying the markers in the genomic DNA of each cell in the mixed sample Area.
