abstract | The invention relates to heat-resistant polymethyl methacrylate and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method is mainly prepared from the following raw materials: 60-98 parts by mass of methyl methacrylate; 1-15 parts by mass of a strongly polar cyclic monomer; 1 to 25 parts by mass of an aromatic vinyl monomer having a specific structure. Among these, the aromatic vinyl monomer is preferably a para-substituted styrene having 4 to 7 carbon atoms and a branched structure. By copolymerizing an aromatic vinyl monomer with a specific structure with methyl methacrylate and a strong polar cyclic monomer and limiting the molar ratio range of the aromatic vinyl monomer, the light transmittance is high, and the heat resistance and the water resistance are good. |
