titleOfInvention | Mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase variant and process for producing olefin compound using the same |
abstract | The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an olefin compound with high productivity and an enzyme used in the method, wherein a plurality of variants of mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase (MVD) are prepared by introducing a mutation associated with an amino acid substitution into each part of the MVD. Then, the catalytic activity involved in the production of an olefinic compound such as isoprene was evaluated for the variants, and as a result, it was found that the MVD in which threonine at position 209 was substituted with another amino acid had the above catalytic activity, indicating that the MVD in which arginine at position 74 was substituted with another amino acid in addition to position 209 had a higher catalytic activity. |
