titleOfInvention | Novel TLR4 antagonists |
abstract | The present invention relates to a peptide for inhibiting the TLR4 signaling pathway, a TLR4 antagonist comprising the peptide, and a composition for preventing or treating an autoimmune disease or an inflammatory disease. More particularly, it relates to a peptide which binds to the TLR4/MD2 complex to inhibit the secretion of interleukin-6 (IL-6), NO and ROS and the activation of nfkb and MAPKs, a TLR4 antagonist comprising the same, and a composition for preventing or treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The peptide of the present invention has an excellent effect of inhibiting the secretion of interleukin-6 (IL-6), NO and ROS and the activation of nfkb and MAPKs by inhibiting the TLR4 signaling pathway induced by Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and can be effectively used as a composition for preventing or treating autoimmune diseases and inflammatory diseases occurring via the TLR4 signaling pathway. |
