abstract The invention provides a metal/solid acid catalyst for preparing 1, 3-propylene glycol by glycerol hydrogenation, wherein the metal/solid acid catalyst contains a solid acid surface modifier graphite phase carbon nitride, and the content of the graphite phase carbon nitride in the metal/solid acid catalyst is 0.01-3 wt%. The metal/solid acid catalyst provided by the invention can be kept stable in an aqueous solution medium; when the catalyst is used for preparing 1, 3-propylene glycol, the catalyst has good stability in long-term operation in aqueous solution.
