abstract | The invention discloses a molybdenum-containing iron-based powder metallurgy material cam and a preparation process thereof. The iron-based powder metallurgy material cam is composed of 0.8% -1.2% of crystalline flake graphite, 1.8% -2.2% of electrolytic copper, 2.1% -2.4% of micro-carbon ferrochromium powder, 1.2% -1.6% of ferromolybdenum powder, 0.75% of zinc stearate and the balance of atomized iron powder. The cam is prepared by a powder forging process, powder is subjected to powder preparation, pressing and sintering, then is placed at 1050 ℃ for heat preservation for 25min, and then is forged and placed in carbon powder to be cooled to room temperature. By adding molybdenum to refine the structure, pearlite transformation is inhibited, the hardenability of the material is improved, the contents of martensite and bainite in the structure are increased, and the strength, hardness and wear resistance of the material are improved. The powder forging process enables the cam material to be close to full densification, and can improve the defects of insufficient cam strength and the like. |
