titleOfInvention Retina scanning type display device and beam diameter enlarging element
abstract In a retinal scan type display device and a beam diameter enlarging element, even when an eyeball moves, luminance unevenness in an image is hard to be conspicuous. In the retina scanning type display device, a scanning unit scans a light beam emitted from a light source unit to form a scanned image. The beam emitted from the scanning unit is enlarged in the 1 st direction (X) by a 1 st beam diameter enlarging element (10A). A1 st beam diameter amplifying element (10A) is formed by alternately laminating a 1 st partially reflective layer (11A) and a 1 st optically transmissive layer (12A) between a pair of 1 st reflective surfaces (13A, 14A), the pair of 1 st reflective surfaces (13A, 14A) facing each other in a 1 st direction (X). Here, the plurality of 1 st partially reflective layers (11A) include a partially reflective layer having a transmittance of more than 50%. Therefore, the light intensity distribution in the 1 st direction (X) in the light beam (L11) amplified in the 1 st direction (X) can be made appropriate.
