The invention relates to a catalyst composition comprising a sulfur-containing compound, an olefin and a dieneThe method for desulphurizing a gasoline fraction, comprising at least the following steps: a) fractionating the gasoline to recover a light gasoline fraction LCN and a first heavy gasoline fraction HCN; b) a first desulfurization step of said first heavy gasoline fraction HCN is carried out; c) partially condensing the first desulfurization effluent obtained from step b) to produce a product consisting essentially of hydrogen and H 2 S and containing dissolved H 2 A liquid hydrocarbon phase of S; d) separating the liquid hydrocarbon phase HCN into a middle gasoline fraction MCN and a second heavy gasoline fraction HHCN; e) a second desulfurization step of said second heavy gasoline fraction HHCN is carried out. |
