abstract | Disclosed herein is a process for the manufacture of (per) fluoropolyether amines comprising reacting a sulfonate ester of a (per) fluoropolyether alcohol with an excess of ammonia or an organic amine at a selected temperature. The process allows (per) fluoropolyether amines, in particular primary, secondary and tertiary (per) fluoropolyether amines, to be obtained in high yields and selectivities and can be conveniently applied on an industrial scale. |
