abstract |
Compositions and methods related to transgenic glyphosate-tolerant Brassica plants are provided. Specifically, the present invention provides Brassica plants having the DP-073496-4 event that confers resistance to glyphosate. The Brassica plant has a DP-073496-4 event at a specified chromosomal position comprising the genome/transgene junction within SEQ ID NO:2 or the genome/transgene junction shown in SEQ ID NO:12 and/or 13 . Characterization of event genomic insertion sites provides increased reproductive efficiency and enables the use of molecular markers to track transgene insertions in breeding populations and their progeny. Various methods and compositions for identifying, detecting and using such events are provided. |
