abstract | The present invention relates to a method for producing 3-mercaptopropionic acid, and a method for producing a carboxylate compound having a mercapto group and a thiourethane optical material using the same. The invention improves the working procedures in the process of preparing the 3-mercaptopropionic acid, thereby greatly improving the yield, reducing the temperature during reduced pressure distillation and shortening the time, thereby preventing the damage of the product and greatly improving the production efficiency. The present invention is an easily and simply carried out process as a whole, whereby the yield and production efficiency can be greatly improved, and the finally obtained 3-mercaptopropionic acid is highly pure and excellent in color, whereby a carboxylic acid ester compound having a mercapto group with high purity and good color can be obtained at low cost by utilizing this. Further, the carboxylic acid ester compound can be used to obtain a thiourethane polymerizable composition and a thiourethane optical material obtained by polymerizing the composition at a low cost. The carboxylate compound obtained according to the invention can be used for preparing low-price sulfur urethane optical lenses, and optical lenses with low cost and good color can be obtained. |
