abstract | A latex product composition comprising an anionically stabilized latex and one or more water-soluble polymers or polymer adducts, the one or more water-soluble polymers or polymer adducts Has a backbone with multiple amine functional groups and hydroxyl functional groups. These polymers or polymer adducts may be additions formed from at least one polyfunctional amine compound reacted with one or more polyfunctional epoxy compounds, one or more monofunctional epoxy compounds, or a combination thereof product. The amine compound and the one or more epoxy compounds react to form a polymer or polymer adduct wherein each epoxy functional group has a molar equivalent ratio of 1.3 to 3.8 amine functional groups. The addition product may be present at about 0.1 to 15.0 weight percent based on the weight of the particles present in the anionically stabilized latex, and the at least one volatile base compound is present at about 1.0 weight percent based on the weight of the particles present in the anionically stabilized latex % to 10.0% by weight are present. |
