abstract | According to the present invention, there is provided a composition for an optical material comprising a cyclic compound (a), an episulfide compound (b), and a sulfur (c), wherein the cyclic compound in the composition for an optical material is provided. The ratio of the compound (a) is in the range of 5 to 70 mass %, the ratio of the episulfide compound (b) is in the range of 20 to 90 mass %, and the ratio of the sulfur (c) is in the range of 1 to 39 mass %.
