titleOfInvention Preparation method of 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine
abstract The invention discloses a preparation method of 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine, which comprises the steps of carrying out chlorination reaction on 3-methylpyridine-N-oxide serving as a raw material, 2,4, 6-triisopropyl-3-benzoyl chloride serving as a chlorinating agent and dichloromethane serving as a solvent at the temperature of-20-50 ℃ to obtain the 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine. The invention adopts 2,4, 6-triisopropyl-3-benzoyl chloride with steric hindrance effect as chlorinating agent, thus overcoming the defects of poor selectivity and low yield of 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine in the traditional method, and the yield of 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine is as high as 95 percent; in addition, the use of phosphorus oxychloride is avoided, and the defect that phosphorus-containing wastewater is difficult to treat is overcome.
