abstract The invention discloses a method for synthesizing 1,2, 4-butanetriol by enzymatic reaction, which is characterized in that D-xylose dehydrogenase, D-xylonic acid dehydratase, benzoylformate decarboxylase and alcohol dehydrogenase are used as catalysts to catalyze D-xylose to be converted into D-1,2, 4-butanetriol in a reaction system; the reaction system comprises the following components: 50mM PBS (NaHPO) 4 、NaH 2 PO 4 )、MgCl 2 6mM、NAD + 0.5mM, NADH0.5mM, TPP 0.4 mM. The invention improves the capability of synthesizing butanetriol in vitro by controlling the enzyme amount of each enzyme, and solves the adverse effects of more byproducts, complicated subsequent separation process and the like caused by a microbiological synthesis method.
