titleOfInvention | System and method for controlling ramp imbalance in a model predictive controller |
abstract | Temporarily relaxing constraints permits efficient and cost-effective operation of certain process models. Use soft landing constraints to control slope imbalance. Such soft landing constraints permit a smooth return to permit continued operating systems (eg, systems containing several inflow and outflow petrochemicals), rather than ramp restrictions that force shut down systems. The dynamic control problem of the process model can be addressed by determining the unbalance ramp rate and the unbalance set point ramp rate and using those constraints to control the ramp unbalance. |
