The present invention relates to 18 F-labeled folic acid and to a novel synthesis of 18 F-folate radiopharmaceuticals wherein fluorine-18 is attached to pteroic acid (or folic acid) by direct radiolabeling with 18 [F]fluoride or derivatives thereof, and 18 F-folate radiopharmaceuticals obtained by this synthesis method and their use in the diagnosis and monitoring of cancer therapy and the treatment of inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases. |
