abstract The invention provides a method for efficiently extracting and measuring carotenoid in Chinese rose petals, which comprises the following steps: a, preparing a carotenoid standard solution; b, preparing a carotenoid sample solution to be detected; c, high performance liquid chromatography analysis; d, analyzing by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry to obtain mass spectrum information of the carotenoid in the Chinese rose petals; e, identifying the structure of the carotenoid in the rose petal sample according to the retention time, the ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrogram, the mass spectrogram, the carotenoid standard substance and literature data; and f, carrying out quantitative analysis on the carotenoid in the Chinese rose petal sample according to a linear regression equation of the carotenoid standard product. The method has the advantages of less sample consumption, high extraction efficiency, good result repeatability and accurate and reliable data, and is an excellent method suitable for extracting the carotenoid from the Chinese rose petals and performing qualitative and quantitative analysis.
