| abstract |
The present invention relates to thermoplastic compositions and to articles made from the thermoplastic compositions. More particularly, the present invention relates to blended polyolefin-based materials that provide a soft touch after molding. The thermoplastic composition of the present invention comprises (a) 10 to 40% by weight of the total composition of glass fibers; (B) 22-46% by weight of the total composition of a propylene homopolymer matrix phase; (C) 1.5-26% by weight of the total composition of a dispersed phase of ethylene-propylene copolymer; and (D) 11-46% by weight of the total composition of an elastomer, said mixture comprising ethylene/C 5‑8 Alpha-olefin copolymer and ethylene/C 3‑4 An alpha-olefin copolymer. |
