Provided are novel titanium oxide particles which do not require a conductive auxiliary agent or can minimize the conductive auxiliary agent, a method for producing titanium oxide particles, an electrode for an electric storage element, and an electric storage element. The novel titanium oxide particles (1) have a three-dimensional network structure in which a plurality of crystallites (2) are continuously bonded, and have a Magnetite phase (2a) on the surface of the crystallites (2). The crystallites (2) are randomly oriented and bonded to each other on the axial plane or the end face, and are stacked in a three-dimensional network structure. A large number of nano-sized space portions (3) can be present inside the titanium oxide particles (1), the grain boundaries of the bonding interface can be eliminated between the crystallites (2), and a large number of micropores can be present. |
