titleOfInvention | Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody detection method |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for detecting anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies in a clinical sample, said method comprising contacting said sample with at least one homogeneous reagent comprising at least one specific binder of an anti-CCP antibody, whereby in the homogeneous A solution or suspension of the anti-CCP antibody-binding partner complex is formed in the sample mixture, and the presence or level of said anti-CCP antibody-binding partner complex is detected in the homogeneous liquid phase. The present invention also relates to a method of assessing the presence, risk, potential or propensity of rheumatoid arthritis in a subject, said method comprising detecting the antibody in a body sample of said subject in a homogeneous assay according to the invention. CCP antibodies, thereby determining the level of anti-CCP antibodies in said sample and correlating the levels thus determined with the presence, risk, potential or predisposition of rheumatoid arthritis in said subject. |
