titleOfInvention A refining method of 4(5) -chloro-2-cyano-5 (4) - (4' -methylphenyl) imidazole
abstract The invention discloses a 4(5) -chloro-A refining method of 2-cyano-5- (4' -methylphenyl) imidazole, belonging to the technical field of fine chemical separation and purification. Adding the compound of formula (I) into a mixed system of alkaline water and an organic solvent, heating to 20-50 ℃, stirring for 0.5-2 h at the temperature, keeping the temperature at 20-50 ℃ for liquid separation, filtering a water layer, cooling to 0-30 ℃, neutralizing with dilute hydrochloric acid, separating out a large amount of white solids, filtering and drying to obtain the 4(5) -chloro-2-cyano-5- (4' -methylphenyl) imidazole which is pure white in appearance and has the purity of more than or equal to 95.0%. The purification solvent selected by the invention is cheap and easy to obtain, the process operation is simple and convenient, and organic impurities which are insoluble in alkali liquor and impurities which are soluble in water in the product can be effectively removed.
