titleOfInvention | Sulfation method of glycosaminoglycan |
abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for sulfating glycosaminoglycans in a solution in a non-organic solvent. In the present invention, the sulfation reaction is carried out by allowing the glycosaminoglycan and the sulfating agent to coexist in a solution of a strongly basic non-organic solvent. In the present invention, the strong basicity is preferably at ph11.5 or more. According to the present invention, for example, glycosaminoglycan having heparin-like anticoagulation activity can be synthesized from N-heparan precursor in one pot. In one embodiment, the sulfated glycosaminoglycan obtained by the present invention is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan having a novel disaccharide composition ratio, and is useful as a novel material. |
